Fat Chat is here! Welcome to the blog that gives support and guidance for everyone who can’t quite fit into their favorite jeans.

My first blog is dedicated to a cool little tool that I have found very useful. It’s called My Fitness Pal. My doctor recommended it to me about ten years ago. It has taken me a year and a half, but I have used it to lose twenty pounds! I still eat glorious foods, but I realize that I am only 5’4″ and don’t need the portions we served at our Italian restaurant growing up.

I whip up some pretty cool meals that are under 400 calories, have balanced macronutrients, and are mostly made with whole foods. The biggest change I probably made was switching to eating off smaller plates!

No matter where I have lived or who I have talked to, somehow talking about finding the right balance in life results in a whole lot of fat chat. My friend Gayle and I have released a lot of tension in life when we call out “fat chat!” and laugh about stressors that caused us to “eat the world”.

I hope to write a few useful blog posts that help everyone find out what is the best fit for their beautiful bodies, whatever your size or shape!

“My Little Chick-a-Peas” taste much better when made from dried, soaked and slowly simmered organic chick peas from Wholefoods bulk section. Come up and see them sometime!
